  • Transaction Data: Details of products and services you have purchased from us.

  • Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform (via Google Analytics).

  • Special Category Data (Health): For insurance products (Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection), we may need to collect details about your medical history, smoking status, and lifestyle. We only collect this with your explicit consent for the purpose of sourcing insurance quotes.

  • Stonebridge (The Network): As our Principal firm, Stonebridge has access to our client files for compliance, file checking, and regulatory monitoring.

  • Lenders and Insurers: To obtain decision-in-principles, mortgage offers, and insurance quotes.

  • Technology Providers:

    • Mortgage Brain: Our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system where your files are securely stored.

    • Google Analytics: To track website traffic and usage (this data is anonymised where possible).

  • Professional Advisers: Solicitors, conveyancers, and surveyors necessary to complete your property transaction.

  • Regulators: The FCA, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and other authorities who require reporting of processing activities.

We do not sell your data to third-party marketing companies.

6. International Transfers

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA). If a specific lender or insurer requires this, we will inform you separately.

This is typically 6 years for standard mortgages, but may be longer (e.g., indefinitely) for certain transfers or insurance products, in line with Stonebridge’s retention policy.
